  1. Metal Shelter ELITE BUILDINGS   These metal buildings are a little bit different than most in that they are made using sandwich panels with either a polyurethane or polystyrene core. Keep in mind that they can custom build a metal shed for you.

    The high performance "U" Series PolyUrethane Panel Building System, our traditional PolyUrethane filled product line, meets strenuous enclosure requirements in a cost effective manner. Each individual panel is perimeter framed in 16 ga. galvanized steel with a dense polyurethane core sandwiched between top and bottom sheet steel to ensure extreme structural strength and insulation. The factory pressure-injected PolyUrethane core produces R-23.23 insulation value in a 3" thick R-Panel (Ridged). Custom welded options can be built into customer specified panels. The GalvalumeŽ R-Panel (Ridged Panel), comes pre-painted with siliconized polyester which carries its own 20 year warranty against cracking, peeling, or fading. Like the sealant in the "S" Series, the "U" Series polyurethane sealant applied between all panel connections is also protected from UV deterioration and forms a watertight barrier. The "S" Series PolyStyrene Panel Building System design provides an economical solution for your enclosure needs with up to 40% cost and field erection savings. The patented Snap-N-Lock™ panel connection easily joins together each panel while forming a continuous insulated foam interface and structural strength to each panel. The built in PolyStyrene core produces an impressive R-12 insulation value in a 3" thick panel while the internal panel locking system eliminates the need for additional fastening methods at the joint for a smooth, clean look. Fabricated under several quality control checkpoints, each panel is laminated under pressure with a waterproof adhesive which has the highest ICBO approved rating. The 26 ga. embossed zinc galvanized steel comes pre-painted in baked on, roll coated, polyester with a 10 year warranty. The sealant reservoir protects the sealant from UV deterioration and forms a waterproof seal.

  2. Global Industrial GLOBAL INDUSTRIAL   Global sells two metal storage sheds. They are different than most i have seen. They appear to be quite heavy duty. The picture on the right is of Global's "Galvanized Steel Outdoor Storage Shed" 699cu.ft. (9'2"W X 12'6"D X 7'1"H).

  3. Colossus Metal Storage Shed DURAMAX   They seem to sell three different sizes of metal prefab sheds: a 6x4ft, a 8x6ft, & a 10x8ft. Pictured is their 10'x 8' Colossus Metal Storage Shed.

  4. Shed Floors SHED FLOORS   This is the only way to build a shed in my humble opinion. I have used similar systems in the past to raise my shed above the ground. This system allows for much easier leveling.

  5. Lowes LOWE'S   Lowe's sells this very basic metal storage shed which i like a lot - the Arrow Sheds "Piedmont". It is 10 ft x 8 ft steel storage building. You can buy a floor kit for it (Arrow Sheds Floor Frame Kit for 8' x 8', 10' x 8' & 10' x 9' Bldgs ARR FB109) or build a floor platform out of 2x4 or 2x6 lumber and cover with 3/4" plywood or some other good flooring material. I have always been able to elevate the shed off the ground using cinder blocks to allow for air circulation underneath.

  6. Arrow Floor Frame Kit THE HOME DEPOT   The Home Depot sells Arrow Sheds, but seems to carry a slightly different line of metal sheds than does Lowes. I think you can order Arrow Sheds online with The Home Depot. The picture on the right is of the Arrow Floor Frame Kit (Foundation Kit): Fits 8 X 8, 10 X 7, 10 X 8, 10 X 9 and 10 X 10 Ft Size Metal Storage Buildings. Model FB109. I have personally used this floor frame and it worked very well for me. Actually, i like it better than a concrete pad. You lay some sheets of plywood on top of the frame struts if i remember correctly. You can buy this frame at the Home Depot and probably Lowes also.
     
  7. Arrow Arlington Shed 10x8ft ARROW SHEDS   A good selection of prefabricated metal sheds. This business has been around for quite awhile. The picture on the right is of their 10x8ft Arlington Metal Shed. The floor frame mentioned above would work with this shed.

     
  8. Arrow Lexington FINGERHUT   They sell some sheds - I think mostly Arrow Sheds. Plus some other types of shelters and floor systems (Foundation Kits).

    The picture on the right is of the Arrow Lexington Shed: This 10'W x 14'D steel shed is protected by Rust-OleumŽ for a longlasting finish. Barn-shaped roof has peak height of over 7'. 852 cu. ft. of storage area. Smooth-sliding doors are doublebraced for extra strength. Fingerhut sells this shed.
     
  9. Arrow Oakbrook Shed NORTHERN TOOL   A good selection of prefabricated "Arrow" brand metal sheds. Click on "tarps + covers" then click on "sheds". They also sell "fast framer" kits (item #18343) and instant garage shed-in-a-box. The picture on the right is of the Arrow Oakbrook Storage Building — 10ft. x 14ft. The Arrow Oakbrook storage building features a high gable roof for extra storage and headroom—nearly 7 feet. Easy assembly. When i was younger and delivering bulk potable water on the high desert in Southern California - i met a family who had lost everything in a bad business deal, and they were forced to live on their vacant 10 acre desert parcel of land in one of these Arrow metal sheds. I think it was about the same size as the one pictured here.
